Hobbies:
Caravanning
A hobby I could not live without. Fresh air, no phone, no TV... what could be better?
Family
I enjoy family life, and believe that my marriage and family come before anything else. Although I am now employed, I was Self Employed and running a reasonably successful business for many years, the pressure of being Self Employed puts a strain on family life which, as our children grew up, we could have done without.
Conservation Issues
I take a very keen interest in the environment, especially the animal and plant life.
Internet
I have been the Webmaster for Mary King British 3 Day Event Rider and Olympic Silver & Silver medal winner, the Salisbury Diocese and the Salisbury Cathedral web sites. Combined they make the largest Church related site on the Internet.
... to mention but a few
Walking (long and short distance)
- I have walked the Coast Path from Charminster in Dorset, to Lynmouth in North Devon via Lands End.
- I have also walked most of the Pennine Way
- and a great deal in the Lake District
Computers
I build, upgrade and repair my own and friends computers - as I am self taught I know both the Correct Terminology and also "non-techno-blabber" (plain English)
Driving and travelling
I am a good driver and, in the past have been qualified to Advanced Standard. I have held a licence to be a Department of Transport Driving Instructor and held an HGV Class 1 driving licence
Sailing
I have sailed 3,500 miles in a Wayfarer Dinghy
Reading
I enjoy reading a selection of books, however, I do not seem to have too much time to do so at present
Drawing
The artistic side of me is plainly visible in my web site design
Talking
I enjoy talking on the telephone, over the Internet and face to face. I am also used to public speaking.
Music
I enjoy listening to music of all genres from folk to heavy rock. I have organised events with between 4 and 14 bands from across the country
