Paying for the 2007 festival
2006 Upton Music Festival CANCELLED
Two more gigs are being held in the lead up to the launch of Upton 2007 on the 15th July in Upton Community Centre 4 bands are required to play at each event.
These gigs will be to raise awareness of the festival in the local community, raise money for the advertising and running of the festival and to SAI Train and License volunteers
The entrance cost will be £4

and we should get in the region of 250 people in to the venue.

The Fondas My first experience of this band, and what an experience it was... Fantastic.
Autopilate Masters of the Universe and all they survey... A brilliant end to a successful event.
The audience of 238 with an average age of 16 years old, taught the older band members that the young people of today can not only enjoy good music, but enjoy themselves at the same time... That was one of the best mosh pits I have ever seen!

Information: The Juice were formed in Hackney, London in the Autumn of 2003 by Jack, Jay, Martin & John. Since then the band have been gigging the London circuit & receiving some positive reviews.Some of them are:
- 'Never before at the club has a band had a standing ovation from a mere soundcheck, but on 14th Aug 2004, that is what happened The Juice.'
- 'Singer Jay possesses a voice that could curdle milk with it's power, and it combined well with Jack's Jimmy Page-esque riffs and chops'
- 'Juice seemed to be a band that would be more at home on a festival stage, and if there is any justice in the world, it shall not be too long before this is the case'
Since then The Juice have graced various London venues like The Hope & Anchor, Clockwork, The Bull & Gate, The Purple Turtle & The Rock garden to name a few. In November 2004, The Juice's bass guitarist John Lucas decided to pursue a university life and therefore bid adieu to the band. He played his last gig at the Hope & Anchor in Dec '04. In January '05, Sunil Andrews joined the band for a 9 month period before Nick Wright, the band's 3rd bass player, signed up

Information: Timshel formed in the summer of 2003 in Gosport before moving to Southampton, this four-piece rock band writes its own material and over the years has developed its own unique sound, style and fan base.
The band consists of James Carey (vocals/acoustic guitar), Jami Wilson (guitar), Paul Carter (bass guitar) and Rob Litten (drums/percussion). It was Jami and Paul that first formed the band with James and Rob joining at a later date.
They have been compared to artists such as Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, The Stone Temple Pilots and Audioslave as well as many others with opinions changing every time the band is seen live!

Information: Deviant Amps are a rock Band based in the Essex, Hertfordshire and London Area. They play original songs and came together as a three-piece about two years ago.
Their individual rock sound has built up over the last couple of years and the band have built up a reputation for being a great live act with a good local following.

Information: Exit 24 were put in the top 3 unsigned bands in the South by NME in a competition sponsored by lee jeans. They were asked to perform on the beach in Brighton courtesy of this competition along with the top 8 unsigned bands in the UK. Exit24 continue to develop their unique style of music whilst maintaining their energetic live performances.

Information: Through many different line ups throughout the bands history, we come to (hopefully) the final incarnation. Formerly known as Lunar trans-action.
I am Spartacus are a four piece from Dorset UK. We are made up of Nick (guitars), Clive (bass and backing vocals), Jez (drums), and our newest addition Aaron (Vocals). We have recently released an E.P, "Every Superhero Needs a Trusty Sidekick", which was written, recorded, produced, performed, designed, pressed and marketed entirely by ourselves. It is on sale at certain independent record stores around the Dorset area, including Bournemouth, yeovil and Salisbury. Read more about it in our blog of the same title. We're looking to get some gigs in local venues, and are hoping to play somewhere near you shortly, unless you live in America, but we are hoping to live in some girl's bedroom................
